I am delighted to be curating Patana Canvases: Women, Art & the Spirit of Giving, a special Teachers as Practitioners (TAPs) exhibition presented as part of The Art of Giving at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in celebration of International Women’s Day 2026.
Inspired by this year’s campaign theme, Give to Gain, the exhibition reflects how creativity, generosity and collaboration can enrich both professional practice and community. As educators, we constantly give our time, care and creativity. TAPs creates space for that generosity to become reciprocal – encouraging participants to reconnect with their own creative practice while giving back through art with purpose.
The exhibition showcases the work of nine women artist-educators, business staff and leaders from Bangkok Patana School: Cindy Adair, Marie-Claire Redman, Tidarat Tonasut, Duang Turong, Areeluck Songsirikul, Pimpakarn (Jam) Abhinoraseth, Kate McClenaghan, Sathita Kitcharoenthumrong and Purnima Ruanglertbutr. Working across diverse artistic mediums, their works explore the intersection of creative practice and professional identity.
Selected artworks will be available for purchase in support of women-focused charities and causes, reinforcing the exhibition’s message that creativity can be a powerful vehicle for generosity and positive social impact.
