Faces of My Heritage

This series depicts fictional portraits from India using a minimalist line art aesthetic. Each portrait is de-contextualised, enabling viewers to attach their own meanings and stories to the lives behind the faces. The Faces of My Heritage series captures the culture of a rich past, a multifaceted present and offers an understanding of future selves in the making. Originally created as photogram prints, each hand drawn design has been manually processed in the photography darkroom, resulting in bold, delicate and intricate lines.
