I was deeply honoured to receive an award at the Australian Alumni Awards 2025, recognising my role as Lead of the University of Melbourne Australian Alumni Community in Thailand, together with my professional achievements and continued contributions to the Australian alumni community. Presented by the Australian Alumni Association (Thailand) and presided over by Dr Angela Macdonald PSM, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, the ceremony celebrated the outstanding impact Australian alumni continue to make across Thailand.
Having previously received the Young Australian Alumni Award in 2018, it was especially meaningful to return to the awards as both a recipient and a community leader. The recognition reaffirmed my belief that education has the power to create positive change when combined with creativity, innovation and service to others.
Together with my co-lead, Salita Soongsawang, I am proud to help strengthen the University of Melbourne alumni community in Thailand and foster collaborations that connect alumni, build professional networks and contribute to both the Australian and Thai communities.
The evening was also a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow Australian university alumni leaders, celebrate the achievements of this year’s award recipients and recognise the collective impact of Australian education across diverse sectors.
My sincere thanks to the Australian Alumni Association (Thailand), the Australian Embassy, and everyone involved in organising such an inspiring celebration of leadership, collaboration and community. Congratulations to all of the award recipients whose achievements continue to embody the innovation, global citizenship and spirit of service at the heart of the Australian alumni network.
