some paintings pull you into their storm...Although @redroompoetry #PoetryMonth has ended its incredible chapter this year, I still have a few final #30in30 submissions to share!This one came from a prompt by the brilliant Amy Crutchfield: “Visit one of the world’s galleries virtually. What impresses, unsettles, or surprises you? Lean into the discomfort. Write about it.”I turned to Van Gogh’s Starry Night - a painting I often use in my ekphrasis workshops and poetry classes to spark imagination. Its restless skies and rippling indigo tides of light feel like both wonder and unease at once. It invites you to plunge into that surreal, whirling beauty - and to write from within its freeing turbulence, born of a star-flecked storm. 🌙💫🎨 If you could step inside any artwork and write from within it, which piece would you choose and why?✒️ poem: flickering fireflies

✨ throwback to The Eras Tour in Hamburg — the most electric and magical night, full of love, new friendships and the #swifty fandom. It was a dream.I’ve been listening to Taylor since I was a teenager and her extraordinary prowess of words has walked with me through so many chapters of life. As a writer, poet, and English teacher, I’ve always appreciated her as a poet — her work is literature so rich for analysis!Seeing her now, stepping into her own Love Story and finding her End Game 💍 is heartwarming. From repeated playlists to this unforgettable concert night, she is a symbol of so many things - to me, the power of words: self-expression, healing, hope, comfort, empowerment, unity and storytelling — all necessary for connection, self-discovery and living a life full of creativity and passion.For everyone who has ever felt 'different', dreamt big or pursued their passions fearlessly… we know this All Too Well.So much has happened since the Eras Tour that I hadn’t shared these snapshots, but now feels like the perfect time — celebrating all things Swift, love, life and persistence.Some nights stay Enchanted forever… this was definitely one of them 🌟🧡🏷️:

what if your authenticity has always lived between the lines?Lines are supposed to guide us. They tell us where to write, where to stop, how to colour neatly, how to fit. But what happens when you’ve never drawn one for yourself? Are you free, unbound… or untethered, always searching for where you belong?For me, poetry lives in that space. Between the written and the unspoken. Between performance and personal reflection. Between belonging everywhere and belonging nowhere. And it’s a beautiful space to be - because belonging isn’t a place, it’s who we are.That’s what I mean when I say I live between the lines. Not in what’s written down neatly for everyone to see, but in the gaps, the pauses, the contradictions. It’s where authenticity sings, where voice becomes activism, and poetry transforms into more than ink on paper — a space where liberation and change trailblaze.This excerpt is from my poem 'Between the Lines' written in response to @redroompoetry #30in30 prompt: 'Speak your truth as if it’s scripture' by @nmmwl'Speak your truth as if it’s scripture. when students take the mic, they don’t just perform - they transform...Can young voices rewrite the future through poetry?The final week of the school year at @bangkok_patana_school ended on a powerful note with the third annual Spoken Word Poetry Showcase 2025: Champions of Change - Inspiring Resilience and Hope.🎤 Year 7–9 students in my Spoken Word Poetry extracurricular (ECA) programme took the stage to perform original spoken word pieces inspired by historical and contemporary changemakers. Each poem connected personal character traits and values with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, proving that no one is too young to make a difference.📖 Alongside the performances, we launched a professionally published anthology, deposited in the National Library of Thailand, preserving their words and visions for the future.From group list poems like Changemakers Are, personification poems and free verse to individual works on gender equality, environmental sustainability, justice, compassion and resilience - the showcase was filled with courage, creativity and authenticity.💡 What made it even more powerful:
– Year 8 & 9 students mentored younger performers
– Student MCs led the audience through the journey
– the community came together to champion these bold voices🧡 As the founder and facilitator of this programme, I couldn’t be prouder! Everyone performed with passion and heart — their artistic expression and growth throughout was phenomenal. I love coaching students in public speaking, creative writing and stage confidence, guiding them to become both performers and published poets. what if your thoughts could travel foot-first?This poem is my response to the @redroompoetry #30in30 prompt by @surencomedy designed for writers and poets during Poetry Month Australia, to explore new ways of thinking and creating. The prompt asked:"Nobody likes being stuck in their head. I like to be in my foot. Is it freedom or a whole new prison? Spend some time in your foot and see what you write."In my response, I explored what it feels like when thought escapes the mind and moves foot-first. Even the heaviest thoughts - like burning bitumen (hot asphalt) - soften, melt and fall away with each step. When you let your body guide you, instinct takes over: you move, trust and let go. Things shift and flow. No overthinking. Imagining thought in your feet feels strange, but in a way, it’s liberating - the mind can sometimes feel like a container, while the body carries possibility.------------

what happens when poetry and music come together?Words move, bend and brew in new ways - they transform off the page into living soundscapes for the poem and story.✨I had the best time performing at @speakerboxlive — one of my favourite stages in Bangkok. The energy, the band, the poets - electric!I performed a new piece, ‘I Am the Daughter of Lions’ (about women’s inherited strength and defiance) and ‘The Poetic Reconstruction of Ourselves’ (about healing and becoming through poetry). The @kineticpoeticworldwide band were incredible, interpreting every line with sound that shifted the poems into new moods and tones.And the featured poets? Absolutely powerful - each one brought raw emotion and energy to the stage.--------------
