About the exhibition

Photography with boundaries…unconventional, subversive, anarchic and autonomous. This exhibition presents selected works from the 2007 Framed Photography Competition – guerrilla photography.

Framed is the annual photography competition of the UMSU Arts Department at the University of Melbourne.

Artist's statement

Rationale

These photographs were taken in the streets of Melbourne, Australia. They highlight my interest in graffiti as an increasingly recognisable form of art, as opposed to vandalism, that punctuates an urban landscape with distinguishable character.
