The Australian Educational Publishing Awards are organised by the Australian Publishers' Association. The prestigious annual Educational Publishing Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in this thriving Australian Industry. Our textbook series 'Inspired English' published by Macmillan Education Australia in partnership with the National Gallery of Victoria, was shortlisted for the 24th Australian Educational Publishing Awards and won the highly commended prize in the English category.

In celebration of Poetry Month 2021, Australia, Red Room Poetry released daily writing prompts by their 30in30 commissioned artists. Poets had 24 hours to compose a poetic response comprising no more than three lines with one winner selected each day. I was the recipient of the day 11 #30in30 daily poetry competition prize, which placed into the running to receive feedback on and paid publication of my full #30in30 poem, as well as winning a copy of ‘Poems that do not sleep’ by Hassan Al Nawwab published by Fremantle Press.
Dr Welsey Imms and I were nominated for our sustained and highly effective engagement with the Master of Teaching Alumni through our groundbreaking research initiative - the Teacher Artmaker Project. Our growing list of publications and presentations addressing a wide academic and practitioner audience testifies the project's growing impact on early career teachers across all subject specialisms.
Thai Indian Youth Achievers Awards were established in order to recognize and reward outstanding achievement to young people in their specialist fields. I was the recipient of the Education award for my work as an artist-teacher.
My artist book, 'Goddesses' explores the theme of 'Myths & Narrative'; this concertina book crafted using linocut printmaking methods won the annual Art in the Library Award. The artwork was displayed as part of a group exhibition, '[Un]bounded Artist's Books' at Baillieu Library.
Congratulated by the Dean of the Melbourne Graduate School of Education for lecturing of the subject 'Teaching and Artistic Practice' to students enrolled in the Masters of Education Programme. The candidates rated the course 4.5, ranking it in the highest range for teaching delivery.
This award is organised by the Australian Chamber of Commerce and recognises professional accomplishments in a range of categories.
I had the honour of being the recipient of the Young Australian Alumni Award. This award recognises a young individual distinguished with a high level of professional accomplishment early in their career and who is using their Australian education to make an impact in their local and global communities.
Awarded for excellence in academic results from the Bachelor of Creative Arts programme. The award was a scholarship towards a Masters at the University of Melbourne.
Each year, the Deans Honours List recognises the highest achieving students in the Faculty of Arts who have demonstrated exceptional ability in one or more disciplines. The award celebrated the list of students in the top 1% of the Bachelor of Creative Arts programme.
Winner of first prize in Short Fiction and second prize in Poetry.
One of four groups in the Master of Teaching programme was chosen to represent the cohort at the Graduate School of Education showcase. We presented our conceptualisation of assessment, construction of rubrics and the designing of matrices using theoretical frameworks in front of a panel that included the Dean of the Melbourne Graduate School of Education.
Awarded by the Melbourne Affordable Art Fair for my photograph ‘barren landscape,’ depicting the Grampians National Park in Australia. The prize included a Will and Caro Crane sculpture valued at $7000. The photograph was submitted in response to the prompt "take a picture of something that inspires you".
The Dean’s List award recognises outstanding academic achievements and is awarded to the top student enrolled in each individual Masters programme at College of Fine Arts. The award recognised my achievement in the Master of Art Administration programme.
